Leaked! Maserati MC Pura is the upcoming MC20 facelift

Maserati is all set to reveal the MC20 facelift at the Goodwood Festival of Speed on July 10. Since the official reveal is still a few hours away, here are some leaked images to drool over.

The first thing you will notice is that Maserati’s mid-engined supercar will no longer be called ‘MC20’. The updated model has been christened as ‘MC Pura’, where ‘Pura’ probably stands for ‘Pure’.

Besides the new name, Maserati has also made a few cosmetic changes to the car, albeit extremely subtle. The shape of the front grille is the same, but it now has a carbon fibre surround. The nose section also has a sharp crease along the entire fascia.

Moving to the rear, the bumper has been slightly reworked. The lower section has an exposed carbon fibre finish. There’s a prominent diffuser and dual exhausts. Inside, the MC Pura gets a new steering wheel. It has a flat bottom and top section, and is wrapped in Alcantara.

The MC Pura is expected to be powered by the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine as the outgoing version. It develops 621 hp and 538 lb-ft of torque, which is sent to the rear axle via an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
